It is intended to educate and inform both doctors and dispensers on the subject of Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). This course has been submitted to the American Board of Opticianry (ABO) for Continuing Education Credit toward certification renewal. The number of credit hours for this course is two (2) hours. Author:Joe Bruneni has a background of more than 50 years experience in the ophthalmic eyewear industry and has been associated with companies at all levels of the industry. He is Executive Director and industry spokesperson for the Polycarbonate Lens Council. He is Education Chairman for LabTrack, the educational courses presented each year at the International Vision Expo shows in New York and Las Vegas and the EyeQuest Conference in Chicago. He writes a series of major lens articles published six times each year in EYECARE BUSINESS and is author of that magazine's popular monthly column titled ASK THE LAB. He writes LENS TRENDS, an annual lens supplement published by Frames Data. He is Editorial Advisor to LAB TALK, a laboratory publication sent to every optical laboratory and manufacturer in the United States and an editorial consultant for LENS TALK magazine. His book LOOKING BACK, an illustrated history of the optical industry, was published in 1994. He compiled and edited the OLA Managed Care Handbook MAKING MANAGED CARE WORK FOR YOU. His most recent book is OPHTHALMIC DISPENSING GUIDE, a loose leaf handbook for opticians. He currently serves on the faculty of Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton as an Assistant Professor teaching Ophthalmic Optics. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Opticianry and writes a column titled "Dispensing Notes", covering all aspects of dispensing appearing in each issue of REFRACTIVE EYECARE for ophthalmologists.
