AR is always highly recommended for computer eyewear

Tints

For patients who work in a brightly-lit office with fluorescent lights


Recommend light tint with 8% absorption


Verify with lab that tint and AR will work together


UV: computer screens emit little or no UV light


UV protection not necessary unless patient requests it

Dispensing computer eyewear

Advise patient that workplace may have different visual environment


Those differences may require fine tuning of the office lights or monitor positioning

Computer eyewear in use

Remind patient to call with specific problems


Contact patient in 10 days to determine if they are getting expected improvement in comfort and clarity


Ask for recommendation to their co-workers
