PRIO Unveils Complete Computer Vision System at Vision Expo East

(New York, NEW YORK) In recognition of the growing number of consumers affected by Computer Vision Syndrome (or CVS), PRIO Corporation is introducing The Complete Computer Vision System at Vision Expo East.

The PRIO Complete Computer Vision System offers retailers and consumers "one-stop shopping" for computer frames, clips and lenses showcased in three different in-office displays. The freestanding, wall mounted and counter displays, designed to fit any budget or space, feature the PRIO Computer Lens and PRIO Eyewear Collection, in addition to consumer lens and testing information.

As part of the "one-stop shopping" offer, the PRIO Vision Tester—which has been widely used by eye doctors since it first became available in 1996—will also be sold in the PRIO Complete CV Solution package. This is the only FDA-released medical device that simulates a computer screen allowing the doctor to accurately diagnose and treat CVS.

Background: A Look at Computer Vision Syndrome
The American Optometric Association has reported that 70-75% of the estimated 100 million-plus computer users suffer from symptoms of CVS. This includes eyestrain, headaches, irritated and dry eyes, blurred vision and, neck, shoulder and back pain. According to a Cornell University study, it is the number one complaint of office workers.
