PRIO Computer Lens Now Available in Expanded Power Shift Range BEAVERTON, OR - PRIO Corporation has expanded its offering of Near Variable Focus (NVF) lenses to accommodate patients needing higher reading or computer add powers. The PRIO Computer Lens (PCL) is now available in a 2.25D power shift version. Along with the expanded lens offering, PRIO has released the latest version - 4.5 - of its popular calculating software, Shazam!, to give ECP’s ordering Near Variable Focus (NVF) lenses for computer users access to the additional lens offering. The company originally developed the revolutionary Shazam! Lens Calculator as a quick and easy way to take the mystery out of calculating the correct power to order, and determining the best NVF lens for a computer-using patient. “The new 2.25D lens is a great addition to the PCL line, giving patients with higher computer and reading adds the same visual benefits enjoyed by younger patients,” said Jon Torrey, president of PRIO. “We’ve received great feedback already from the first patients to wear these lenses.” The PCL 2.25D is available in CR-39 in sphere powers from –3.00D to +6.00D, and in cylinder powers to –4.00D.
