PRIO OFFERS LABS ONLINE COMPUTER LENS SEMINAR

(Beaverton, OREGON) PRIO Corporation, the leader in computer vision care, has developed an ABO- and state-approved online computer lens seminar. This two-hour online course, developed with Joe Bruneni of Vision Consultants, Inc., provides labs with an easy way to help ECPs not only provide the best lens technology for computer-using patients, but also how to build added profit into their practices.

"Currently, too many eye care professionals still use single vision or bifocal lenses for their computer patients because they don't feel comfortable fitting variable focus lenses," said Jon Torrey, President/CEO of PRIO. "Others are using trifocals or general purpose PALs. For the most part, these lenses are not the best choice for computer users who must see primarily at the midrange, but also need to read printed material and would like as much distance vision as possible. The cost will also cover the creation of flyers for mailing to accounts, the handling of all aspects of the certification process, and the monthly reporting of participating accounts.

For those without a website, the course can be accessed by a lab's accounts through the PRIO website or via the availability of "live" lab-hosted seminars.

It has been shown that variable focus lens can help virtually every computer-using patient - from children who play hours of computer games, to working adults who spend their days at their jobs in front of computers, to seniors who email family members and surf the Internet.
